Description: 1943 Original Press Photo by FIRESTONE TIRE AND RUBBER COMPANY PHOTOGRAPHER.Since her graduation from the University of Michigan as an analytical chemistry major last May, Nydia Goetz has been working the chemistry laboratory of the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. Nydia put herself through Jackson Junior College and the U of Michigan by flying and working at the Jackson Airport. She often navigated new planes from the factory to the airport, and holds a civilian pilot's license. She is adjusting a microscope to look for lead crystals. Photo is Dated: April 9, 1943.
