Humphrey (April 22, 1889 - November 12, 1943) Katie Humphrey (1881 - 1920) Clarence Humphrey (1900 - 1953) Walter and Katie had two other children as well: Aurilla Bernice Humphrey Nelson (1906 - 1984) Delos Humphrey (1912 - 1966) Aurilla married Russell D. Nelson, and they had children Donna Bigelow and Carolyn Wyeth. Donna was born in her grandparents, Walter & Katie’s, farmhouse. Walter was the son of: William Humphrey (1842 - 1899), a farmer from England, whose cause of death was “supposed to the neuralgia of heart, died instantly” & Sarah Ann Metcalf Mumphrey (1843 - 1922), who came from Cambridgeshire, England. William and Sarah were father and mother to fifteen children, Walter being one of the last most likely. William Humphrey was the son of Joseph & Susan Bedford Humphrey, natives of England. The entire family is buried in French Seville Cemetery in Elwell, Gratiot County, Michigan. This one photo is an incredible genealogical resource and a piece of Elwell, Michigan history! Condition is used, but honestly the image is truly excellent. There is some light spotting around the edges and rubbing from handling, but overall very nice! Please see photos!
