Description: This is a pleasing, attractive, & highly detailed medal. This medal was issued in 1876 for the "Art Treasures & Industrial Exhibition Of North Wales & Border Counties". This medal is probably made of white metal. But, we are not certain. The obverse of the medal shows two artists working with the tools of their trade. The reverse shows heraldic arms. The medal has a diameter of 1 7/8 inches & a weight of 1.6 ounces. This medal is in pleasing & lightly worn condition & has some natural age toning on much of the surfaces. But, considerable original luster is visible in some areas when the medal is tilted at an angle to catch the light. The medal has some bumps along the edges here & there. Otherwise, the condition of the medal is EX on the obverse & AU on the reverse. A recent find from an early New Jersey estate where it had resided for 143 years since it was issued in 1876.
