Description: 1-1868? 5 Cent Shield Nickel with 18KL very nicely Stamped into the obverse of the coin. The coin is well worn in a lower grade with the date barely discernible. With the coin magnified and tilted you can make out the top of the date which I believe is 1868. The reverse has scratches on it. I have owned this coin for nearly 50 years and always found the counterstamp to be interesting. 18k gold layered stamp? Please check the pictures as they are part of the description.
