Description: 1, 2, 3, 4 - WDWYFW Repro Vietnam Protest Slogan Button A 1.25” pinback button with the acronym 1,2,3,4 WDWYFW – referencing the 1960’s protest chant “One, Two, Three, Four – We Don’t Want Your F***ing War.” As American involvement in Vietnam grew in the 1960s, some American people – especially students vulnerable to the draft – started to form protest groups and organize sit-ins and protest marches. As the war escalated and increasing numbers of Americans were wounded and killed in combat, the protests grew. By the end of the decade opposition to the Vietnam War became a colossal movement, with protests drawing hundreds of thousands of Americans into the streets. The protests would escalate throughout 1970 leading to the Kent State Massacre, where Ohio National Guardsmen fired on student protesters, killing four young people and wounding nine. "One, two, three, four, we don't want your f***ing war" was chanted in marches from Brisbane to Boston, and abbreviated in text as 1,2,3,4 WDWYFW. This is a re-imagining of that vintage slogan. Wear this button while drawing a picket sign, while getting out the vote, or while spooning and thinking about forking. See our store for more interesting items - combine orders to save shipping!
